I have referred to our modern way of life as a “soft culture” because it does not serve us to be as comfortable as we have become accustomed to. Disuse atrophy of our body systems progressively occurs if we do not engage all of our body regularly. The regular activation of your muscles, organs, supportive ligaments, nervous system, and even their bony frame is essential for optimal health. Each time you activate your body through movement and exercise you are engaging many systems of the body, such as muscles and organs that synergistically support your health and survival.
