Two creatures were stirring; it was Mr. & Ms. Mouse!
He and she were scurrying in the kitchen looking for a snack,
when suddenly he felt a “pop” and then pain in his back!
On the rooftop they heard a sudden noise,
as Santa and his reindeer landed with toys!
Waiting in anguish by the cold fireplace,
Mr. Mouse knew of Santa’s wisdom and grace.
“Why are you holding his back?” asked Santa of Ms. Mouse, with a concerned look on his face.
Cried she as she said, “He threw his back out and now he can’t walk!”
“Santa, he’s in so much pain, he can’t even talk!”
questioned Santa as he was laying the toys out under the tree.
“I was chewing on crumbs under baby’s chair,
and then a Saltshaker fell from baby’s tray up there!
It hit my back and I felt it pop
and now the pain that I have, it won’t stop!”
“I have an answer,” said Santa with glee –
“I’ll traction your spine at the count of three!”
So, Santa picked up Mr. Mouse and did as he said
and Mr. Mouse’s back cracked from his tail to his head!
“What relief!” squeaked Mr. Mouse with cheer
and thanked him as he turned to go back to his reindeer.
Ms. Mouse asked curiously, “Santa, how did you know what to do?”
Santa’s belly shook with laughter as he said,
“it’s easy, with all this lifting and bending, I go to a chiropractor too!”
